Hello, lords and ladies of the realm! The Cast Beyond the Wall continues our recap and review of Game of Thrones season 8 with a look at one of the most highly anticipated television episodes of the year, “The Long Night.” Host Caleb Masters is re-joined by co-hosts Austin Lucari and Daniel Stull to look at one of Game of Thrones' most ambitious battles to date. To commemorate the special "battle episode" occasion, we're joined again by GoodTrash Media's own Dalton Stuart. For more than seven seasons and eight years of TV, Game of Thrones fans have awaited the arrival of the white walkers, and finally, in "The Long Night," their forces mount an attack on Winterfell. The battle that ensues in unlike any we've seen before in modern pop culture. With all of the complaints about the darker lighting, do we think it spoils the episode? We discuss the benefits and drawbacks of director Miguel Sapochnik's technical decisions in an otherwise impactful episode. Heading into the season, few of us expected the Night King and white walker threat to be dispatched so quickly three episodes before the series finale. As we begin closing the book on Game of Thrones, we beg the question again--is the show becoming too conventional? Caleb, Danial, and Austin hash it out while Dalton provides some additional predictions about what the switch could mean for the remainder of the season. This is the biggest moments in 2019 for pop culture and we leave no stone unturned as we determine how well it worked and what it means for the future of fantasy on TV. The epic battle also provided game-changing results for this year's Game of Thrones fantasy league Take a look at the latest results! CURRENT FANTASY LEAGUE SCORES
