After eight episodes, The Cast Beyond the Wall is back to cover King Viserys's swan song, "The Lord of the Tides." Hosts Caleb Masters and Daniel Stull are joined by first-time guest, Chad Parizman, to discuss whether the latest chapter does King Viserys Targaryen(Paddy Considine) justice. After yet another time jump (six years in this instance), Vaemond Velaryon petitions against Lucerys Targaryen's claim as lord of Driftmark, calling them illegitimate children, after Corlys "the sea snake" Velaryon has grown deathly ill in the second war for the Stepstones. To defend their family's claim, Rhaenyra and Daemon travel to King's Landing to plead with Viserys on his deathbed. Meanwhile, Alicent and Otto Hightower plan to leverage the petition to bring Rhaenyra's entire position as heir into question. Before his final day, King Viserys sees the division in the Targaryen house and makes one last attempt to bring the families together over dinner in hopes of making peace.
